but the promise you made simply faded away like the fog in to sky
You said i was your baby
the completion of your heart
i guess i don't get it all the way
but when i stop and think
i feel that great big sadness, grief and abandonment
I'm young and learning still
but you taught me you'll never be there
yet i see you, i can tell you're somewhere far away
don't call me darling, or your sweetest love yet
because a father keeps his promise
a father loves his girl
i guess i wasn't fit for you
or simply are you incomplete
you say you'll change, i doubt it though
how many times had you said though
to mama, me and others too
i felt incomplete with your lies
your eyes, your spirit, that glows demons
i may never know the person God made for you
i may never touch the sky
but i know that God is there for me
even if you aren't
