My Thoughts on Avatar

Last night my family and i watched Avatar (boy was it long!) on our comfy couch with buttery pop corn (okay, not completely buttery, but the light version ;)
I was very surprised on how it turned out. im not into sci -fi films, but this was cool! Everything looked so realistic and fun! I felt as if i was exploring Pandora like it was a 3-D adventure.
Some might say The People looked weird, but it added such a fresh originality for all movie and sci-fi lovers needed! Sure, it was in space, but in on a planet, with awesome looking blue people!
i'm not in love with the movie, but i was satisfied with the DVD rental.(Don't get me wrong, it was very good though!)
The movie added a new perspective to the furture, something no other movie or comic book has done yet. The creatures were different, the people, language, scenery, culture, all a new start to a new beginning in the future movies will have!
So if you're looking for a little thrill and adventure, Avatar is a great movie to watch at home, in the theaters, or wherever you go, and still have a great effect on you!

Busy Week!

So it's been a few days without posting! The last days have been super crazy!

On Thursday we had to watch our cousins and lil bro for a while and when i got home i was SO exhausted to type!
Friday Sarah and i went shopping at the mall! So much fun and found great deals! We left around 6 and my feet hurt to death!
And finally today, i got up at ten, went to wal-mart with mom and aunt and kiddos and got home around five! died my hair a really cute dark auburn! so finally after Isaiah is asleep and dinner is put away, i can blog! oh how i missed you readers!!

Some more thoughts...

Im reading this book called The Indigo Notebook. Its about a fifteen year old girl Zeeta who travels all around the world with her mom. The thing is, every place she goes to, she has a special colored notebook where she writes her thoughts and experiences there, because she knows after a year, her mom will drag her to some other place she has a fantasies about.
Cover Image
I haven't finished it, but right now it is super good! The thing im really talking about is a diary! How many of you write in a diary? Sometimes i try to, but i just give up or forget about it. I feel like i dont have anything interesting to write in it! if i did, it would be...

woke up, ate breakfast, cleaned, did school, watched kids, cleaned, read, go to sleep.

not EVERYDAY, but there isent anything so tempting to write! If you journal or use a diary, feel free to tell me! And how long have you diaried for?

well, im wiped out and my feet hurt...again and my life has been hectic for the past week! Hopefully, i can get back to my blogging routine!

Sleep tight!

Ally <3

p.s i can never get whipped and wiped right!!

My Life Updateish!

This is red
And polka dot
I am so excited because i am actually getting to use pictures of my own! i haven't been able to use the camera for a while to upload stuff, but i finally did and today i have chickens!

a week and a half ago, we got four chickens. there names are polka dot, cross, nugget, red head (red). they are very loud, but sometimes sound like babies crying. a couple times when we first got them we kept thinking a Isaiah was crying so we went down the hall to hear. it was only the chickens. they are so much fun and cute!
getting eggs every day is such a money saver in the family! we love eggs for cakes, breakfast, sandwiches, etc! my sister was so proud about how they looked so she took a picture and it does look awesome!

o some million entries ago, i posted this great recipe that's healthy, yummy and easy to make. i didn't have a picture for it, but today i do! for lunch today we made it and had it with slices of a baguette.

ingredients:

2 cucumbers
4-6 Roma tomatoes
1 pack of mozzarella cheese (not shredded)
1 baguette (optional)
grape seed oil (or olive oil)
spices (salt, pepper, dried basil, Italian blend, granulated garlic)

dice all veggies and cheeses into a bowl.
put in spices. season to taste.
put enough oil in to wet everything. do put too much in it that it puddles.
stir (tip, always put spices in first so they stick to food)
put in a bowl with a slice of baguette and serve!

tip: you can put in onions if wanted spicier.
salami is another great thing to put in it or turkey pepperoni for more taste.

hope you enjoy this post and recipe! go ahead and try it! you dont need any cooking experience to make this delicious meal on the go or at home!

A Must Read Book

I am a huge fan of reading and am always suggesting books for people to read. My friend and i are always swapping our favorite books to each other and talking about them. Reading is a little way to discover ad explore without leaving your room.

This book im going to talk about is one of my all time favorite books in the world! I've read it a couple times and still get caught up in the love, glory, sadness, etc.
It is call THE PRINCETTA, by Anne Laure Bondoux.
The books is about a princess who longs to explore the world. As her wish comes true, many events happen to her. Betrayed by a close one, kidnapped by a king, falls in love with a captain, discovers a whole new world, makes a great friend, etc. Danger, love, trust, friendship, discoveries, enchantment, all while she is on her once in a life time adventure.
This book is truly amazing and everyone should read it! My Dad bought it for me and i am so glad he did. The words are perfect in the book, the story, the characters all unique. this book has depth and gets you thinking about your life too.

Barbie Movies

Ava, my threee year old cousin, loves having 'big girl time' with Sarah and i. When she sleeps over, we sometimes watch Barbie movies off of YouTube. Ava thinks this is so cool, just hanging out with the big girls. She loves it.
Ava falls asleep during the first half hour, but i can tell she is having a blast. yesterday she had a sleepover with us and we watched the brand new Barbie movie, 'Barbie in a mermaid tail tale." it was about Barbie finding out she was half mermaid and saving oceana. It was cute and alot better of animation for then other ones they made.
During the first five minutes, she fell asleep, but Sarah and i continued watching it anyway. LOL Not bad! I would recommend this for babysitting or watching it with a young relative! Its cute, funny and they will love the mermaid part!

Dear Summer

from stanford.edu
Dear Summer,

Hello, how are you? I am preparing for your abundant heat and glossy black streets. The warmth is already spreading, filling the house with great hotness. Pools are being cleaned and open for all swimmers to enjoy. Adults and children are running to the ice cream vans and devouring the sweet taste of sugary cream. I am finding myself each day excited for the waters to warm and the water melon to be ripe enough to eat outside. Towels are being spread on the beach and people are dipping into the cool waves of freedom. Air conditioners murmur outside in protest as the cool air gushes into the house. Lady bugs are buzzing around onto the moist grass. Summer festivals are starting, celebrating the fine arrival. Sprinklers are being made to be fun enjoyment. Umbrellas are being sold out. People are coming and going. Beaches are being packed with surfers and loungers. Love bubbling like eggs on the side walk. Camps cheering with joy.Tanning spray is not needed these few months, nor long clothes. Swimming suits have cloned every where in great pleasure. Dusk barbecues are on every block. Sweet smell of sunscreen and flowers take of each person. People are smiling in the sun. Summer is being quite welcome here.

Love,
Ally

P.S I can't wait for summer

Hmmm....

So the other day, me and my mind were craving to go swimming. Can you even crave to do something? Well, if it's not true, then i Ally of this blog have invented something. Haha. So anyways, i begged Sarah to go with me, packed our back with h20 and a snack and grabbed a ride form the rents.

Swimming, it's just an amazing thing to me. I want to go to Florida or Hawaii and swim in the lush clear ocean and be able to see my feet and not step in seaweed. Oh how a girl dreams. I probably posted something about swimming, but i'll do it again. i want the world of blogs to know how much swimming means to me. and i want you to know too.
i think swimming's a little glimpse of flying, but having to hold your breath and not bob to the surface. its just an amazing gift from God. As Hailey in Aquamarine would say 'it's the closest thing to magic'.
you don't have to hold your weight and you feel absolutely amazing gliding through chlorine filled pools. Yes, Florida defiantly sounds amazing right now. But i am grateful to have a pool to swim in forever and use my scuba fins.
Scuba fins, perhaps one of the second amazing inventions in the world. i didn't get them long ago and now i wonder how i ever survived with out them. they give you power to fly under water and the force you wouldn't feel without them. they are my second feet.
i sound very emotional about this, well not emotional, but i think swimming and water is so cool! Some of you may not feel it as much as me, but im glad to be able to share with you one of my favorite things to do!

Ally
yes i am so in love with swimming and mermaids, my mom made this awesome mermaid tail for me last year! i look horrible in this video, but you can get a glimpse on how it looks. (right now im making a another one, this one styled to put my fins in!) enjoy :) p.s and it's my sis's first time handling a under water camera...

Simply Sweet

Some say i might be addicted with all these post in one day, but i just simply love blogging and putting my opinion out there. im a shy, i-want-you-to-know type of girl! Very weird combination and doesn't make quite sense.

Well, I've mentioned my sister a few times in my blogs, but ill tell you more about her, with her being the topic of my post.
Okay, Sarah is a little younger then me, but taller and bigger in shoes size. 12 really, but im 11 so ha! just kidding, people say the bigger foot you have, the taller you and i 100% believe that.
Sarah has a hard time cleaning her room, but she's okay with her messy room. She a people person, nannyish to my cousins (sounds horrible but she baby sits my cousins three days a week so my aunt can clean and sew.) Her eyes almost disappear when she laughs (its cute!) she sometimes snorts when she laughs too, she loves baking! SO much, she really wants to be a baker and have the whole shop thing. its a really good and sweet idea.
Sarah is always wanting to bake and do new things. She's awesome at decorating cakes and making them perfect and delicious!
For you Sarah!

Some pretty flower wedding cakes
Very original...now for some fantasy!

Good luck sis!

Spa Day

As my other post was telling about my fabulous spa day, i'll give you some useful tips and ideas for a at home, cheap spa day that will leave you in heaven!

1. Body Scrubs. Body scrubs are perfect to moisten and get the dead skin off of your self (see recipe below) scrub on in the shower and rinse off.

2. Feet soak. Your feet deserve to be pampered and well taken care of! They carry your weight for you! From tipnot.com, there is this useful foot soak.

1 part Epsom salts
1 part Baking soda
drops of choice essential oils (optional)
Add water to fill the bowl

3. Bath soak. Soak in the bath and add yummy essential oils. The oils help relax your body.

4. Have a delicious light lunch. Some veggies and light sandwiches. These all have a very spa feeling and leave you feeling just right

5. Face mask. Open up your pours with a warm wash cloth and then put on some honey! yes, honey! Leave it on for about ten minutes! (honey helps retain moisture)

6. Bath salts are another thing for the bath. Get Epsom salts and mix with your favorite essential oils.

7. Get cozy. Curl on the couch in your favorite robe and watch a chick flick by yourself or with your spa buddy. Laugh out loud and have a blast!

Have a favorite spa idea or recipe? Feel free to share!

Ally :)

Heavenly

Don't you enjoy those days were you can lay in the bath and eat lush chocolate? Yes, yes, yes and luckily i got to, too.

I've been reading the book FAST BEAUTY 1,000 Quick Fixes by Rena Berg (awesome book, defiantly check it out!)
It has tons of beauty tricks, spa tricks, all easy and useful things you might need in a hurry or feel like spoiling yourself.
There was a recipe to make a good body scrub, but i sort of mixed it up. You'll need:

granulated sugar

grape seed or olive oil

essential oils

mix them all together. Use lavender or whatever essential oil you like best.

Put in a container for storage and use for later or today!

Also, another thing i got out of there was to put drops of essential oils into the hot bath water after the bath is filled up. I put a mix of relaxing ones to settle the muscles. Lavender works very well also.

Taken

The innocent are taken. Their bodies brutally broken. They do not deserve this. The hatred. The evil that lies in wild men. Why do the innocent have to pay for what they do? They did nothing wrong. Said nothing wrong, nor prayed nothing wrong. They are simply mistaken.
Men who do such deeds are monsters on Earth. They are evil and do not deserve the love of one another. They are trapped in their own living hell.
Mothers, daughter, fathers, sons, all mistaken for their lives. They do not need this. They did not earn this spiritual war they cannot leave. It is with them, swallowing their minds and emotion for each other. The pain they bring, the demons that live on Earth.
The violence. The crying. The silence. Oh where are you Lord? To save these people? Babies, children, Mommies, and Daddies? The loving families whom cannot save their beloved? So Lord, oh God be with them tonight, as this hell on Earth takes place today, tomorrow, or the next. They need you and your love, when they feel that no love exists.

A Picture Says A Thousand Words

Fadedfilmstrips-flickr3_large
Since i was a wee little kid, i had this weird fascination with photographs. i loved and still do love taking pictures. Sometimes for no reason, or other times, i have a big idea for a photo idea and it doesn't leave my head till i satisfy it.
For Christmas last year, my parents got me this vivitar manual camera. it's mostly for beginners, but works really nice. And i love it! At first, i started using color film, but as my curiosity loomed more, i went to the camera store, bought two things of black and white film and took some pictures.
My first idea for pictures, are of Sarah dressed in this vintage blue dress like a china doll, outside and around my aunts neighborhood. my aunts neighborhood is so dreamy! the town houses are cute, oaks and freshly mowed grass is everywhere...you get the picture. well, it's a big step up in my town though :P
Alice in Wonderland was coming out at this time, (the newer one of course) and the dress totally reminded me of the movie. so Sarah posed around here, and there, and walaah! well, i actually haven't developed them yet, so...i'll tell you how they go then. Okay, my second photo shoot was outside too, Sarah dressed in a vintage/gypsy/hippish look with poet sleeve shirt and a long turquoise skirt drenched in bangles and necklaces. i have her pose around trees, (for an earthy look) carry around this awesome suit case (very vintage and antique) and anything i had in mind.
so you all bascially know that i LOVE to take pictures. As my title says pcitures are really worth a thousands words. Bad or good, that's just the rule. So venture forward and release your inner spirit in your type of art, even if it's totally original...umm thats why they call it art!

Ally

p.s doesnt black and white photos add a pretty soft look? Can't explain, but i just adore black adn white photos! :)

Words

Tumblr_l0sg04v82w1qzkmfho1_500_large
Words do not describe me, nor gossip of thy self.
The person who will meet me, will see something else.
Beauty from the inside, plunging through the skin.
the good and not the bad of my forgotten sin,
Words will do much harm,
used by loosely tongues
they can change perspective of someone that you love,
I said words will not describe me,
not today or tomorrow
just look into my soul and see so much sorrow
the pureness of my heart
was here from the start...

Wrinkled Hands

Her hands are worn from labor, wrinkled and rough from dirt.
they hold no value to the seeker. no value to the heart.
if you looked closer, more closer then her hands.
you would see the bruises and tired weary lands.
that she slaved and bathed under the raging sun.
the days she dedicated to stay alive as planned.
those are not just average hands.
there hands from a survivor.
the ones that tell a story
the one that teaches us anything is possible,
as long as you rely on God.

Long Day

So it's been a few days since i blogged, and i have pretty good reasons for it! The other night, i went to the awesome Owl City concert with Sarah. It was so much fun! It was really loud till your ears got numbed, smelt like sweat and beer (people could purchase beer for the concert, weird :P) and we bought an awesome Owl City tote bag and two rubber bracelets!

Adam Young (Owl City Vocalist) is so cool! Even when he's talking a little bit, you can tell he has such an original personality! W0w, i just had a blast!
And...

It'd like to thank all my followers for following me! it's just a fun opportunity to blog and i'm so glad that people enjoy my writings! Thanks for all your blogging and following! :)

Plus...

A couple days ago, my mom, aunt, cousins, Sarah and i all went to ride the city bus to a fun shopping area. it was really funny seeing all of us trying to get on and off the buses and getting there on time! some people thought it was hilarious seeing the 'newbies' trying to survive going on a day trip, but using the bus. (we had to take down and reconstruct the two strollers each time we went on) Overall, we went to an adorable boutique, got lunch and ice cream, shopped a bit more and took the hour back home! It seems like so little, but hauling everyone everywhere took a lot of time, but i had a blast!

That was my very busy weekend! So i should be able to blog a bit more now that all the crazy stuff it over!

5 Tips to be a GREAT Babysitter!

I regularly baby sit these two cuties that actually live right next to me! They are so sweet and we're always having a blast! Babysitting is a privilege and being able to connect with the kids you watch is special and can be a lifetime connection!
When i babysit, i have 5 tips that i always follow! These can help you get more customers, get loved on, and earn some $

1. Look nice and presentable. When you go to their house or they come to yours, always look nice and awake. Parents want to know that their babysitter is alert and takes care of herself. In their head they think "Good, if she can take care of herself, then she can take care of the kids maturely." Simple and useful.

2. Smile! Look cheery even if you dont feel like it. I always do because parents like the good attitude. it makes you more responsible.

3. Bring a goodie now and then. I like to bring treats or games over when i babysit. Kids love surprises and treats! They get excited for you since they know you care and bring something fun to do!

4. Keep em' busy. When watching kids, i always do something with them. Watch a movie, draw, play hide and seek, be involved. The time to text or read is when their tucked in bed, not while they're awake. And too, it's your job, be professional.

5. Fussy toddler. Maybe its nap time or play time, toddlers tend to get fussy or throw a fit. When this happens, make sure to sound positive and find a distraction. If the kids are fighting over a toy, find a solution. use a happy voice, fix the problem and remind them that Mommy or Daddy will be back soon!

SO there you have it. Five simple tips that could make your life and the kids life's whole lot better. Babysitting is such a fun memory and make it fun while it last! Parents always look for good qualities in babysitters. Ones that are mature, responsible, loving and cheerful. Just being there for parents, helps them relax and spend time without kids! So go out there and enjoy yourself!

crazy, crazy everywhere!

i am crazy if you ever knew me! i am always thinking of doing crazy things, but the problem is i dont have the guts to do any of them. so thats why God invented a sister! once at the mall, Sarah and i started undressing the mannequins secretly and putting new clothes on them. boy, was i surprised how detailed they make mannequins these days!

another time, Sarah and i were at the store and i had Sarah hide behind a wall of toilet paper on the shelf. i go this idea off of YouTube and desperately wanted to try it! of course i was too chicken to do it, i made Sarah. so when someone walked by the toilet paper section, Sarah came tumbling out, along with the packages of toilet paper. she nearly scared the heck out of the lady and i couldn't breath it was so funny!
good times! i am always inspired by things!
oh, i forgot, there was this other time at the mall, we were in old navy and these mannequins were displayed in the from of the store right behind the glass wall. the mannequins were out in the opening area, on no higher raised surface or in a locked off section. the mannequins looked like regular people, but instead of faces, their head looked like it was chopped off. so i dared Sarah to put her head above their neck and pretend to be the mannequins head. wow, she got alot of amused and confused looks at her! i repaid her with a dollar! such a good sister...not!

Happy Pranking!

p.s here is a site that gives ideas of pranks for almost any occasion!

Cute Outfit

So today i wasn't in the mood to really get all cute, but with my hefty button up vest and shiny purple nail polish, i go all chick without knowing it and putting alot of effort in it! So i go to my mom to paint this funky color on my nails (since i do a horrible job at finger painting) It's girly, punkish and flirty all at the same time! Cool for my youth group tonight! :)

Next, this tuxedo vest which my uncle gave me is so awesome! it is a life saver and compliments any outfit i were. Today im wearing it with non-fitted jean shorts and a plain regular cut grey tee-shirt with a logo, and it looks tom boyish, plus super trendy!

This one is like it, just mine is a dark navy blue and a shiny fabric on the back! So fun!

These little things make a big difference and i love the look it gives me!

Gourmet Sandwiches and Clogged Sinks

How was your Easter everyone?

Our was very different then we've ever had it. Difference number one, we didn't paint eggs. We didn't do it because with all the babies and work going on, it would be too much, and it would have definably have been. it was a very different Easter, but still very fun!
Difference number two, we had an Easter make-your-dream-sandwich buffet instead of an traditional Easter dinner and pie. The reason why we didn't have the traditional dindin was because we had no place to seat all of the family. i did fancy the sandwich idea, for we had a lot of choices to make them BLT's, Chicken Salad Sandwiches or a regular meat and cheese sandwich. Yum!

The munchkins had a Easter egg hunt in the back yard. Instead of using all eggs, my Mom mixed it up with mini cereal boxes and Capri suns. Somewhat strange, but i thought i was very original and crafty! Isaiah was so cute, trying to hold all the eggs at once! I think he understood the concept more this year, then last. Of course though, out of all the babies Ava got most of the supply of candy and snacks!

That was our very cool Easter! We didn't go by all the traditions, and that was all right. My Mom said one time that sometimes Traditions take away all the glory of the holiday because we try to do the tradition more then celebrate being together, and i believe her. It takes away the glory of the occasion sometimes and strays away from what we're really celebrating! Wise words, Mom!

Today was a somewhat crazy day. I went to bed at four, sewing like mad, while watching Aquamarine and Angus, Thongs and the Perfect Snogging. I got up after Isaiah which was 10:45! I never knew a 1 year old could sleep that long! (but he did look bigger today too)
Ate a protein bar and a glass of water, got dressed and ready, then started doing the dishes.
Dishes, a very evil thing to a teen.
The last few weeks I've been keeping the kitchen clean and tidy, while my Mom, Dad and Sarah sewed and watched the babes (just so you know, sewing is very important in our family, so we're not doing it as a hobbie! :P)
So i was putting the dishes into the washer, listening to my the TING TINGS on my Sansa, and turned on the garbage disposal to drain the disgusting sink. To my surprise, it only made a weird purring sound and did nothing at all! Oh my, the things that happen in life!
Yeah, so i basically ditched it and came here to confess my frustrations. I'll just have to wait till my Mom gets back to help fix it! Or my Dad.

Ally :)

I SO want this!

Why i LOVE the Dollar Store!

So today, my Mom, Aunt, Sis and i had a ladies day! (No babies included!) We went to a Mary Kay's party, ate at the delicious Pita Jungle, grabbed a mint chocolate chip waffle cone and ventured to the 99 cent store! My fav! The dollar store is so amazing in so many ways! You will find things you never expect (weird or not) and be equally fascinated. I have and always will be.

When i was little, i would love to go to the dollar store and get a treat (back then kids thought lead plastic toys were GREAT!) I was more in love with the notebooks! I still obsess over paper for some unknown reason. Maybe it's my writer gene?
So anyways, we walk in and the sunglasses stand is there. My curious self went to go and browse and was surprised. Their choices were not bad! So not bad that i found the cutest, stylish yellow eighties glasses that look so hip! And i look good in them! (It's hard to find the right look for me) These are the best i can find that look like them, but the strips are in the rounded nose part and theres no hole! Its so cute!

And to top it off, i was wearing my hair in an adorable side bun! So its made me look sassy, cute and a college student!

My next find is strange but totally awesome at the same time! And only a dollar!

Yes it is Paris Hilton! It's like a diary with things you fill out, but with pics of Paris Hilton on each page! I'm not a fan of her but the books a hardcover, cool for boredom and for my crazy teen self! Ha!

Yeah so the dollar store is cool and thats that! You find crazy music there, movies, books, whatever that your curious mind wants! So venture forward readers, ones that may never go to the dollar store, for it is great and a laugh for us all!
